02 / FUEL PLANNING
Trip fuel cost
Estimate fuel volume and expense for a trip using your distance, consumption and fuel price.
This estimates fuel expense, not the full trip cost or a customer quote. All starting values are hypothetical.
How the math works
Litres = distance × consumption / 100
Fuel spend = litres × fuel price
Fuel cost / km = consumption × fuel price / 100
Keep in mind
- Driver labour, maintenance, ownership costs, overhead and additional trip expenses are excluded.
- A single consumption figure does not separately model idling, terrain, load, weather or auxiliary equipment. Zero consumption or price is allowed as an explicit scenario, not a typical assumption.
- Keep the fuel price on the same tax basis as any other costs you compare it with.
Precision is retained during calculation. Displayed numbers are rounded. Export for the full calculated values.
