Ridewell suspensions
Ridewell’s catalogue separates truck drive, auxiliary and trailer suspensions. Prefixes and suffixes matter: RSS steerable auxiliary products serve a different role from RAR primary trailer suspensions, and truck and trailer versions may have different identifiers. Start with the identification plate and exact configuration. The product-family pages below organize those differences; installation, loading and service decisions require the correct manufacturer drawings and vehicle-specific approval.

RAR-240
Primary trailer air suspensionRAR-240 is a Ridewell primary trailer air-ride suspension family. Ridewell’s product and service references distinguish several arrangements, including underslung, overslung and other mounting configurations. The RAR-240 name is therefore not enough to select a replacement assembly or establish ride height.
RAR-266
Primary trailer air suspensionRAR-266 is another Ridewell primary trailer air-ride suspension family. Ridewell’s literature includes RAR-266-LDA and distinguishes mounting arrangements in its technical references. It should not be treated as an interchangeable RAR-240 simply because both are trailer air suspensions.
RSS-233
Steerable auxiliary suspension familyRidewell lists RSS-233 as a steerable auxiliary axle suspension for trucks, with several rating variants. Its documentation separately identifies RSS-233T trailer applications. The suffix, rating and installation matter; a truck version should not be assumed to match a trailer assembly.
